I arrived back from a very wet and windy P.E/ Jefferies
on Tuesday.
The Comp was rained out so that didn't happen, but the enjoyment of merry
friends and company was much needed.
Crashed at Roscoe's place for a day or 2 then headed out to Jeffries which
was a total bust, it rained almost non-stop.
The Jefferies Bay park looks fun with lots of lines and hip lines. I have
posted some photo`s on the forum
for the meantime; but look out for the skate park directory i've been working
on.
Im expecting some fresh goodies in this coming week...if you have been calling
for the following they will be here shortly:
Koolstop Eagle Salmon pads
KMC superlite 710 chains
Kink Integrated headsets
Kink replacement axles for Ody and Fly hubs, USA Made!
Kink shin pads...

Hitting you with a bike check before I hit the road
for P.E
Phil recently built up his brand spanking new Fit Series
3 and did a darn good job of customizing it.
Although its has to be one of the most modified bikes i have ever seen, its
not overly done and the customizing is real neat. You`ll see what i mean...

Kevin called today to tell me about the 5th Fusion
Jam at the Chapel Skatepark on the 27th of May.This goes down at the Chapel
Skatepark in Weltevreeden Park, JHB. Check the Events
page for more details (directions, fee's, times)
The Shitluck DVD should be here shortly,
Lookout for that one, its going to be raw and in your face.
Saturday afternoon I stopped by Wesley's
trails up in Waterfall, Durban. I hooked up with Wesley, Stuart, Ashley and
Darryn to see what they were up to. These trails are deep in a forest and it
would take one of those outback Australian aborigany trackers to find them.
They only have the 1 long line working at the moment, but there's talk of other
lines coming up soon. I'm not much of a trail rider but they sure looked fun
and well looked after. Wesley was having an off day and wasn't pulling much;
but he did manage to huck a "3" on the middle jump.
Here`s a few fun photo`s for you to check out.

So I will be away from this Thursday afternoon for a
few days...I`ll be down with the crew in Jeffries Bay for Roscoe`s Benefit Jam.
This will be a Dirt and Park Jam hosted by Roscoe. I should be back at the office
by Wednesday next week, i will also be down in Cape Town for a few days.
Roscoe's Jam is going down this Saturday and Sunday in JBay. Get there if you
in the area. Call Roscoe for details: 083 657 8347.

One of the reasons i`ll be down in Cape Town is that Konstant
is leaving the country again and there`s a bit of a farewell party happening
in Somerset West. Or I'm sure there will be...

Not much going on around here this week, business as
usual as its known I guess.
I will have some rad new clothing in this week from Fit and Metal bikes.
Those much anticipated S&M 4Q Thermal Pitch XLT forks (mouth full isn't
it?) and the limited Fit S3 stems in Violet should
be arriving in a few days.
Oh yeah the XLT forks will be available in satin black or a black chrome.
Sorry about the sketch photo's; nicked 'em off the net...I'll have some half
decent ones as soon as they are in.
Is
that the prototype Primo Pivotal Slim seat on Chase
Deharts ride???
Trent posted a bunch of new trails photo`s on the RDG site. Sooo good. Check
em out.
Tyrone took it hard at hard at the Rand Show; came off pretty bad gashing
his knee up quite horribly on his rear axle. Get well soon Caddy!
Have a smashing weekend.

Jaque Fourie is in town this weekend. Did some riding
at the beach yesterday and hit up Gateway today. Looks like Gateway is getting
a bit of a overhauling. Wavehouse is busy with repairs to the Pro park at the
moment.

The Zero Offset Flatland Jam
was a massive success! You would not believe the flatland skill out there. Although
Flatland is still very underground; these Joburg cats represent!
Sibankey and I drove up early Saturday morning hung out at a bike store or 2,
some business stuff, and then moved on down to Asia City for an early session
with Danny and newly appointed Team rider Sean
Shuping. We spent a few hours riding the very dusty but comfortably grippy
parking lot.
 |
 |
| Here`s
Sean warming up. |
- Danny steam rolling. |
We kicked it in early for the next days jam; had to get some shut eye and munchies.
Sunday was a little damp outside, but when you organize a jam in a covered parking
lot there's not much to worry about, what a awesome place to session. 11 names,
(yes!! 11 flatland entries!) down to ride and we were ready to go.
 |
 |
| Registration. |
- Ready an waiting |
 |
 |
| Soweto
boys in the mix. |
- Vusi squeaker |
 |
 |
| The
winner! Dopey |
- Justin burning a funky chicken |
 |
 |
| Me,
sessioning |
- Sean killing it. |
A giant thanks to Asia City Mall, Primo Products and all the riders and spectators
who came out to this small but very impressive Jam. It will definitely happen
again! (but only in the Summer months). If you were wondering what happened
to Betty and Rupert....they were called out to a larger more prestigious event,
damn MX, we made do with our own beats and entertaining. Good times.
The Zero Offset Jam final results:
1. Donovan Wright aka Dopey
2. Monde Xaba aka Cyber Punk
3. Vusi
4. Jama Kunene
5. Tshepo Lenong
6. Kwanele Makhoba aka Q tie
7. Bradley Karth aka Kurt
8. Danny Flax aka Haro Master
9. Justin Davis
10. Tim Lee aka Sibankey
11. Jabulani Makhoba aka Sjava.
I
have added more photo`s and a desktop wallpaper or 2 on the Forum.
