BMX Racing Nationals is going down this weekend at Lahee park and I stopped by today to check it out. 'Cycle Crazy' (a bike shop that we supply in Natal) was at the track supplying goods and services...Lahee is notorius for some insane bails and this is proof of just how bad it can get...destroyed!!

This is not an optical illusion.

The owner of this wheel slammed front wheel first into the first double at Lahee, its huge! The rider is a-ok, the wheel took most of the impact. Not to worry I sorted the rider, Deon, with some nice new black 7K Primo Balance wheels, so he's rolling again in style. Riding photo's coming tomorrow (crash photo's if your lucky).

Mid week
road trip!

Colin, x-up, hillside concrete mini.

This morning , totally spur of the moment, I rang Stu, brother Colin and Ashleigh and hit the road for an afternoons sesh in Petermaritzburg. 'maritzburg is about a 40 minute drive from our hood and has an abundance of very old but very rad riding spots. There are a couple of concrete mini's and a very tight shaped spine/mini ramp attached to a 'bra cup' type bowl, very tight indeed. After about half an hours worth of hang fives on a nearby bball court I got a puncture, so I sat the round out and took some snaps.

Stuart, titty cup bar spin to manual.

Colin, foot jam on the small concrete mini.

Quamen Bikes goodies in late today, Singles clamps, Macros26 stems and Pops chain tensioners. Quamen also do custom frame designs and colors, I will have more news and photo's on that shortly. Check the Catalog if you interested in any of the below parts, photo's have been added and updated in the Catalog. Quamen parts and frames are all hand made in the USA. Quality you know!

Camacura Macross 26 stems - R500.

Quamen Pops - R100 each
Quamen clamp - R120 each

FIT LIFE IS COMING....

coming soon

Two more photo's from the long weekend. Tyrone Bradley jus styling the doubles at
Colin's secret trails and this is Stu-the-who blasting about 6 foot out of the deep end of the snake run at Gateway. Shit's blowin' up!

Catfish.

Stolen thunder **flash**.

The weather was perfect in Durban this weekend and we definitely took advantage of it. Jacques Fourie, Paul Soderlund, Calvin Ibbotson, myself and most of the shop rats from Waterfall hit up a few riding spots in and around Durbs. Trails, beach park and a couple of sessions at Gateway. Gateway have revamped the mini/spine section, all the Skatelite has been pulled- re-glued and screwed down again solidly. As well as the revamp and a few other small changes, an extension has been added to the far left side of the mini ramp. Looking good indeed.
Colin Loudon has recently been working hard at his trails and invited us round for a early session on Saturday. Paul was his usual-hilarious-self and got up to no good as well as putting down a good few shirt buzzing inverts. The biggest mouth and the loudest pair of pink grips made for some good laughs for sure.
.
Hobbit in the grass. Jacques Fourie.

Paul Soderlund.

The Gateway sessions were fun, at one stage there were as many as 12 guys sessioning the snake run and Mini. Tyrone is back from his European trip. He was riding and shooting photo's for the next Source mag, I took a stack of digital photo's and here's some of the proof. Enjoy.

Calvin Ibbotson, pedal feeble.

15 year old Darren van Wyk

Jacques 6ft table, deep end of the snake run.

I will put up a few more photo's in the coming days.
