This past weekend saw the S.A BMX National Racing champs at Giba Gorge. The Giba track is brand new and this was the first National race meeting held here. The track is huge and the facilities around the track are ace (the Giba trails run almost alongside the track) There was around 200 riders at this race meet and there were so many crashes! I did not get to see much of the racing as i was tied up by the usual 'gimme a sticker?' grom crew at the shop. I did get some snaps of this super retro 1985 Skyway Street Beat freestyle bike. Check out em bars!

Monday myself, Darren and a bunch of the 'up n coming' local boys spent the day at the beach and the beach park, We chilled easy till sunset and took full advantage of the big quarter. Keep in mind most these cats are barely 17! Check it.

What a crazy week.
Jacques flew in for a quick 2 day visit to the HQ, we shot up some brand new photo's for Team page and another lil project we working on.
We are almost completely sold out of our shipment of Fit completes. More 2008 models in again soon.
LTFs, S3s, LAFs, Van Homan frames will be dropping in on us very soon as well as some fresh new parts and goodies.
The web has been over grown for us this week too, forums are busy and our latest video clip is doing some serious traveling. I had to upgrade our current web package because we almost exhausted our entire 10gigabite monthly bandwidth allowance in the space of 5 days...that equates to just over 800 views of the latest BD clip since last Thursday. whew.

Travis Cotrell rolled with us for the usual Friday Beach session last week. Bike check and photo's in the dark..

EDH's Travis Peek and Mark Rolton made back to New Zealand safely after a month long trip to South Africa. Travis has added a couple photo's of our local boys to the February EDH news page and we got a small mention on the latest EDH news page. This is not the last of EDH and South Africa that you will be hearing of, look out for more developments in the future (insert 'wink' smilie here).

The other download is of the very popular BMX Direct Mix Tape web clip. Since posted on Thursday last week it has had in excess of 250 unique views. I'm sure this has largely to do with various forum/web posts all over the world but hey kids are loving it. DOWNLOAD a copy here(right click "Save as..."). Its an .mp4 file type, so it will play on most PCs and even a large amount of Cell phones. If you having problems or want different version, simply ask it in the forums.

Phil says to tell you that Wesleys bike has been jacked in Somerset West, Phil's front wheel was attached to Wesley's bike which means both cats are out of commission for bit. Keep an eyeball to the Cape Town streets for this one. Be on the looky for a black Barcode + Balance wheel and Ti spokes.

Serepta Church update.
Phase 3 of the local Kloof church mini ramp is complete. The hand rail has been added, concrete spine is complete and a small flat area at the base of the steps. Weekend report!
Dstar is out of commission for the next 4 weeks due to an attempted road-to-sports field gap gone bad. Darren blew off the pedals on landing and ended up cracking one of them tiny bones in his foot. If you wanting footage or photo's you gonna have to wait to see the our next video clip. I will share a photo of the gap.

We had a bunch of visitors the weekend again and some great sessions went down. AT and Rico from Richards Bay were in town and 2 cool cats all the way from New Zealand! Marc and Travis are chilling in Durban for a few weeks on holiday. Here's proof of the weekends happenings. Click for more photo's.

A1 Grand Prix is going down this coming weekend in Durban. Its going to be very noisy and very busy on Saturday and Sunday. I suggest staying away (if you not into A1GP of course) from the North Beach park. With that said it doesn't mean we wont be there on Friday for the usual late afternoon beach park session. I snapped this A1 Demo car at Gateway today.
