Ghetto Jam 2009
Welcome to yet another year of Ghetto Jam madness...

This will be our 4th Ghetto Jam and man do we have something different for you this year....because of unforeseen circumstances things are going to be a little different to the usual organized chaos of the Beach Park construction...
The Beach Concrete Park has almost been completely demolished due to renovations to the Beach front and Esplanade areas for the 2010 World Cup. Its understandable because the Durban Stadium is only a couple kilometers away and we want Durban to look legit for the influx of internationals visiting our Country over the coming months. On the other hand, we have no idea if the Beach Park will be restored to its former glory...

SO! We came up with something just as exciting for you to do in Durban these coming holidays! We have 3 days of mayhem lined up; trails, ramp and streets!
Because of the diversity of riders that show up for the Jam every year we thought it a good idea to incorporate all forms of riding all in one event, but all in different locations! What! yeah Trails happening at Tim Bentleys pad in Hilton, Ramp Jam at the infamous Indigo Skate Camp, Valley of a 1000 Hills and what better than a real street Jam in the CDB of Durban!

As always, the younger riders will be looked out for at our event, 'cos its not only about being Pro!
Each 'event' will be classed Pro and Expert/Am and every rider given a chance to hit something and therefore be given a chance at gettin some cred. As we like to do it every year at the Ghetto jam; there will be no judges, officials or stiffs who know jack about what we do, riders choose the winners amongst themselvs.

A little about each venue.
Tim's place is the perfect venue for a trails jam as there are already jumps in place in an amazing location. With a bit of help from a local trucking company; Houston Earthmovers, Tim's family and David Boyter we were able to setup something awesome for this years event. Dirt, sun, bikes, Red Bull and good times all round.

Indigo is a regular hangout for us Durban boys, but not many out-of-town riders get to session the massive 12 foot half-pipe/hip/mini-ramp too often so we got Dallas Oberholzer on board. Although not something everyone can ride its definitly worth the mission out to Indigo and giving it a bash. In a very picturesque Valley of a 1000 Hills this is set to be a very chilled afternoon at the Indigo ramp watching some of S.A's best shred the vert.

The street mission is something different that doesnt happen too often in BMX. Truck load of bikes, riders and camera gear hit the street for an all day riding film session. Shredder of the day takes a product hamper home from BMX Direct.

Red Bull will have Betty at the trails and ramp with a banging tracklist and DJ keeping things fresh and vibing.
